Episode 19. Dinard, France.

Exploring the Enchanting Charms of Dinard: A Journey through History, Scenic Beauty, and Legends.

Riding in Brittany at Dinard, I started off from Villa Roches Brunes, which has been beautifully restored to its original appearance. It stands on a steep relief at the tip of Pointe de la Malouine, a famous luxury landscaped development from the Belle Époque era. Reflecting the prevailing eclecticism of the late 19th century, its neo-Louis XIII style and its openness to the coastline faithfully capture the principles of seaside architecture. Then, I followed along the Emerald Coast to reach Saint-Énogat Church.

Dinard: The history of Dinard is closely linked to the legend of King Arthur. According to the legend, King Arthur landed on the shores of Dinard in 513 to build a fort (hence the supposed etymology of the city, fort d’Arthur) and establish the locality of Dinard.

In this captivating episode, I take you on a thrilling ride in Dinard, Brittany, for an unforgettable adventure. Our starting point is the stunningly restored Villa Roches Brunes, perched on a cliff at the tip of Pointe de la Malouine, a famous luxury landscaped development from the Belle Époque era. Continuing along the Emerald Coast, I embarked on an electric bike ride, discovering the breathtaking landscapes that have made this region famous.
